I always like to say that my job as a PR professional is like building a puzzle. I was obsessed with puzzles as a kid, and well, here I am today. Pairing Stylelist Home and Jeanine Hays from AphroChic was a no-brainer for all parties involved. Jeanine and her partner/husband Bryan are two of the most genuinely special people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. (Shout out to HGTV’s and fellow Syracuse alum Lindsey Weidhorn) I have nothing but respect and admiration for the Stylelist Home (shout out to Dickson Wong and Brie Dyas!). What they have done by combining and re-inventing ShelterPop and DIYLife is incredible. Let’s just say that their daily email is one of the few I don’t just delete.

Hello! This is the very first edition of The Reading List. The goal is to point out something that I personally took away or responded to from the media list on this website. Here we go! Might as well start with the belle of the ball in the shelter world, right?!
Finally got a chance to spend a bit more QT with the latest issue of Elle Decor this week. I was thrilled to see Mad Men’s Bryan Batt in the Truth in Decorating feature. I absolutely love that feature (always have!), and I finally started watching Mad Men this month. Trust me, there has never been a better time to be late to the ball, folks. Season 5 is just a few months away. You can also check him out in 1stDibs in the Required Reading feature. Turns out he is also a designer and has a shop in New Orleans. I’m heading there in April and will be sure to check it out. His book, Big, Easy Style is pictured and out now!
As a PR professional, it is hard not to get swept up in the media gossip about the design world… we’ve lost so many great magazines over the past few years! Looks like Lonny is not heading for the memory bin after all with this latest story from our friends at EditorAtLarge.com… CLICK HERE to read
